3375177 - Functional Area YB99 was determined for WIP settlement of production/process order

After CE2308 upgrade, you found for production/process order WIP settlement posting, the system put the dummy functional area YB99 into the journal entry item. Before upgrade, that should be production functional area (e.g. YB20).

There is a communicated change on functional area determination with CE2308 upgrade. For more details, please check the what's new.

With the new change, for WIP settlement of production order, if you use the account which is with the G/L account type "Nonoperating Expense or Income", the issue may happen.
For "Nonoperating Expense or Income", it's not requested to have account assignment for the account posting. So the WIP settlement posting is without real account assignment.
With the new functional area determination logic, the system can't determine the functional area from the production order, so system will use the dummy functional area YB99.

The fix is planned in HFC06 (deliver in the weekend of Sep. 30 and Oct.1).
For the current impacted period end closing, considering the least impact, suggest you to make a manual adjustment posting from YB99 to the correct functional area (like YB20) for the total incorrect amount.
