Symptom

  • When running SQL statement that decrypts data
  • Messages are returned to the client:

    An internal error occurred during a decryption operation (error code 60020). Please contact SAP Technical Support.
    An internal error occurred during an encryption operation (error code -1). Please contact SAP Technical Support.

  • And ASE log prints error message

    enp_aesDecrypt: CCLCipherCtx_all failed with error : 0xa0100000.

  • It is reported after adding additional column encryption to a table with existing encrypted columns, but circumstances may vary.
