3376647 - Posting date logic of FI document generated by timesheet is not clear

Symptom

When performing timesheet posting or deleting the timesheet entry, it's not clear how the posting date for the relevant FI document is determined.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

The posting date for the relevant FI document is mainly determined by the date of the timesheet.

If no error happens during the transfer to FI step, the system will make the posting directly setting the timesheet date as posting date.

If there is an error (for example, posting period closed) happened in the transfer to FI step, it is possible to use app "Process Unposted Time Confirmations" to make the posting manually.

When using this app to make posting, it is possible to choose the posting date.
