Symptom
The candidate is facing an error when try to complete the Personal Data Collection step.
For the candidate the error is: An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorId=9999999-e945-4df9-bd13-3a6d2a763929, timestamp=2023-09-20T11:12:12.123+0000, and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring.

Reproducing the Issue
- Login in the instance as the candidate
- Try to submit the Personal Data Collection
- See the error message
Cause
- In "Configure Object Definitions" the "Effective Dating" field is selected as an option different to "no". EfectiveDated MDF Objects are not supported.
- CUSTOM MDF Objects the externalUserVisibility are set to "no"
Resolution
Configure a rule to set CUSTOM MDF Objects the externalUserVisibility to "yes" .
- Create the rule in "Configure Business Rule" as the type "Rules for MDF Based Objects" under "Metadata Framework" and set the UserVisisbilty to "yes"
- Go to "Configure Object Definitions" and select the configured rule appropriately under save or initialize rules
Then test with a new candidate. - Then navigate to Admin Center > Search External User Visibility.
- Select Custom object > Enter the custom object code > Click Run.
- Perform an OData API Metadata Refresh and Export refresh after, then test again.
