3377571 - SAP Extended Enterprise Content Management by OpenText - The Enterprise Connect Ribbon is missing in Microsoft Outlook

Symptom

With Enterprise Connect, when you open Microsoft Outlook, the Enterprise Connect Ribbon is missing.

This issue was reported in (but may not be limited to):

Content Server 10, 10.5, 16, 16.2
Enterprise Connect 10.5.0, 10.5.1, 10.5.2, 16, 16.2
Outlook 2013, 2016

As of Microsoft Office 2013, Microsoft Outlook monitors the time that Add-ins take to load on startup. In addition to start up time, Outlook also monitors folder switch, item open, and invoke frequency.

Outlook then computes the median startup time over 5 successive iterations. If the median startup time exceeds 1000 milliseconds (1 second), then Outlook disables the add-in and displays a notification to the user that an add-in has been disabled.

If users do not select to ‘Always enable this add-in’, they are unable to use the Enterprise Connect Integration inside of Outlook until re-enabled.
