Symptom

  • Promotion Status=Failure : Sorry, you do not have the right to 'Add objects to the folder' (ID: 1) for 'Root Folder' (ID: 23). Please contact your administrator if you require this right. The server supplied the following details: Security right violation encountered 
  • Promotion Status=Failure : Must create object under it's defined root folder. For one possible solution, please check SAP Note 2947834
  • Add Folder option is grayed out in CMC->Folders
