When dealing with Inventory Balance Sheet context, you would like to use LIFO as valuation procedure.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

LIFO Valuation is not supported in the current version of S/4HANA Cloud. This is due to the fact that LIFO is not part of standard, as it is not supported by International Accounting Standards. The valuation procedures available are:

• FIFO - First In, First Out

  Assumes that the first items received into inventory are the first to be consumed. The inventory value is therefore based on the value of the last items received.

• Lowest Value Determination

  Inventories are valued as conservatively as possible, for example at the lower of acquisition cost or market value.
