3378197 - Error 'Postings to resource xxx found; change/deletion not possible'

Customer is trying to change the Valid from/Valid to date of cost center assigned to the labor resource, but system is giving error: Postings to resource xxx found; change/deletion not possible.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Cost and Revenue work center.
2. Go to Resources view.
3. Search and select Resource: xxx.
4. Change Valid from/Valid to date of the cost center, an error occurs: Postings to resource xxx found; change/deletion not possible.

The system is not allowing you to delete or edit the cost center assignment if it will affect posted data.

You can verify the postings for Resource xxx in the report: General Ledger Line Items.

You need to add the field: Resource ID and Resource by selecting the add field function on the top right hand corner.

Then you can filter for Resource ID: xxx, and see the postings.

Because of these postings the customer cannot delete the cost center values that they have against Resource xxx.

The system is working as expected.
