Symptom
When testing the connectivity from Cloud Integration tenant to an SMTP mail server, the connectivity is failing with one of the following errors:
- Cloud Based SMTP Server
com.sun.mail.util.MailConnectException: Couldn't connect to host, port: XXX.XXX.XX.XXX, <PORT>; timeout 15000 Cause: java.net.ConnectException: error 111 - Connection refused (Connection refused) - On-Premise SMTP Server
com.sun.mail.util.MailConnectException: Couldn't connect to host, port: XX.XXX.XX.XX, <PORT>; timeout 15000 Cause: java.net.SocketException: SOCKS5 command failed with status: FORBIDDEN
The following configurations are also in place:
- STARTTLS is being used
- Connection to the IP Address of the mail server is being used
