3378577 - Error When Trying to Terminate an Employee

You are trying to terminate an Employee, however the system is showing the error message below:

Termination failed
Leave request cancellation tasks pending for approval with XYZ

XYZ stands for the Employee's name.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to the Personnel Administration work center and then Regular Tasks view.
2. Select the Country.
3. Click Terminate Relationship with Employee.
4. Maintain the Employee ID and the other required fields.
5. Click Save.
6. Error occurs.

The error occurs because the Employee has one or more Time Entries still Open in the system.

The Employee's Manager needs to check if there is any open Task in the Approvals view, under the Managing My Area Work Center. Here the manager needs to evaluate if the task needs to be Approved or Cancelled.

If there is no task appearing to the Employee's Manager, then kindly raise a case to the SAP Support by mentioning this Knowledge Base Article.
