The Data Action can be executed with no issues in SAP Analytics Cloud web interface.

Try to execute a Data Action in SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office.

The root cause was an incorrect configuration of data action parameters in the Excel Add-in.

The erroneous behavior was introduced with the last shipment and affected only parameters of levelled hierarchies (for example date and time dimension).

This is a regression issue and the fix is planned to be shipped with the next release (calendar week 38 2023).

However, the fix corrects new configurations only, and the workbooks that have been created since the error was introduced will have this error.

It is necessary to remove and set the parameters again in the workbook, then save it again to ensure the correct behavior.

How to fix existing workbooks

1. Select one of the planning trigger cells in the worksheet

2. The configuration page for the planning trigger will be shown in the task pane of Excel

3. Assign the values for the data action parameters again (delete the current values and select it again with the value help)

4. Now it should be able to execute the data action by pressing the planning trigger button in the sheet without errors

5. Save the workbook to ensure that the configuration is stored correctly
