Symptom

  • ASE to Direct connect is failing after upgrading to 16 SP04 PL04.
  • Error from isql:
    1>connect to <DirectConnect_Server_Oracle>
    Msg 11216, Level 16, State 13:
    Server 'ServerName', Line 1:
    Internal Ct-Lib/Cs-Lib error 84083974: 'ct_connect(): network packet layer: internal net library error: Net-Library operation terminated due to disconnect'.
    srv__e3_create_encrypt3_context: Unexpected failure in comn_keypair_create.
    srv__e3_handshake: Unexpected failure in srv__init_encrypt3.
    Msg 11206, Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'ServerName', Line 1:
    Unable to connect to server '<DirectConnect-Oracle>'.
  • Error messages reported in the DirectConnect for Oracle log:
    #16400 srv__e3_create_encrypt3_context: Unexpected failure in comn_keypair_create.
    #16400 srv__e3_handshake: Unexpected failure in srv__init_encrypt3.
    #16400 srv__handle_password_negotiation: Unexpected failure in srv__e3_handshake.
