3380311 - Centralized Services: Incorrect Creation and Delimitation of Pay Component for Pay Component Enabled Benefits - CS2H2023

We have observed that either enrollments fail or PCAssignmentCompletion record delimitation in Compensation Information is not correct when a user enrolls for multiple benefits for which pay component integration is enabled.

This issue occurs only when the Centralized Services option Enable Centralized Services for Integrations with Employee Central Compensation (Applicable only for saving changes from EC Benefits & SAP SuccessFactors Compensation) is enabled.

Here are a few example scenarios (the issue may exist outside these scenarios as well):

Scenario 1:

Three benefits with different effective start dates are imported as below:

be1 - 04/10/2023
be2 - 05/10/2023
be3 - 03/17/2023

The enrolment for be3 fails with payroll integration failed error. However, if the same record for be3 is then imported separately, enrolment and pay components are created as expected.

Scenario 2:

When multiple enrolments exist for different benefits on the same day and delimitation/opt out of benefits happens on a different day, the pay components get delimited but re-added to future time slices. Consider we have the following 3 existing enrolments with different effective start dates:
 
be1 - 04/15/2023 with Pay Component PC1
be2 - 05/01/2023 with Pay Component PC2
be3 - 03/17/2023 with Pay Component PC3

Opting out of be1 on 04/30/2023, delimits PC2 in a time slice effective 04/30/2023. However, it is re-added in the existing timeslice of 05/01/2023. Nothing happens to PC3 because of the opt out as be3's effective start date is in past.

Scenario 3:

Consider we have the following 3 existing enrolments with same effective start date:

be1 - 11 May with Pay Component PC1
be2 - 11 May with Pay Component PC2
be3 - 11 May with Pay Component PC3

If be2 is delimited as of 11 May, PC2 is removed on 11 May. However, PC2 is re-added to 17th May time slice (Either system randomly picks a date or there is already an existing Compensation Information timeslice for the user). 

This is a defect. 

Engineering Team are working on a fix of this issue. This article will be updated when we have more details about the fix. 

Workaround: Disable the switch Enable Centralized Services for Integrations with Employee Central Compensation (Applicable only for saving changes from EC Benefits & SAP SuccessFactors Compensation) in Company System and Logo Settings if you have enabled pay component integration in your benefits configurations until the issue is fixed.
