3380435 - Getting error when viewing Report in CPQ Report Module

Symptom

There is an issue when accessing only a certain report(s) in the Report Module in SAP CPQ.

Error: "An error occurred while processing your request.".

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Setup
  2. General
  3. Report Module
  4. Error occurs when trying to view only a few reports.

Cause

  • The issue could be with the Report's query, it's timing out which is why error is happening only for certain reports.
  • The query might have worked before when the number of records in DB was lower.
  • If the query is not optimized, it can happen that at some point it takes too much time to load all records.

Resolution

Please optimize the DataSource query for the reports and the issue should be resolved.
