Symptom
You received an error after opening a file from "Export to excel":
"</summary><repairedRecords><repairedRecord>Repaired Records: String properties from /xl/worksheets/sheet1.xml part</repairedRecord></repairedRecords></recoveryLog>"
Environment
- SAP Cloud for Customer
- Microsoft Excel Application
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the desired OWL
- Click on "More"
- Select "Export do Microsoft Excel"
Cause
If the length is corrected and inside the accepted range, then limitations as erroneous characters must be revisited. This should be checked and corrected/confirmed before any further efforts.
Resolution
To make such checking you can simply apply the following command to your cell/sheet: =LEN() - With it you will be able to identify what is out of the Microsoft accepted range, 32.767 objects for each cell.
You can test it to make sure: When downloading just this specific objects (affected) separately, the error is reproducible. When using other objects (not affected by the length problem), error is not reproducible - what confirms the scenario.
IMPORTANT: Nevertheless, this is a problem with Microsoft setup/design and/or validation of your database. If you need further assistance in this scenario we advise to seek Microsoft expert team, C4C system will simply send the data that is in its database.
