Business context for serial number custom fields not available in 'Custom Fields' app.
Not possible to add custom fields to app 'Manage Material Serial Numbers' by following the instructions at Adding Extension Fields to Apps with Different UI-Technologies.

Reproducing the Issue

Access the app 'Manage Material Serial Numbers'.
Use 'Adapt UI'.
Not possible to add custom field by following the instructions at Adding Extension Fields to Apps with Different UI-Technologies.

Cause

Missing functionality.

Resolution

Adding custom fields and extensibility is not supported currently on the 'Manage Material Serial Number' API and UI application.

Create a customer influence request by following the KBA 2963059 for the extensibility support to be inclded in a future release.
