3381241 - Could not load SYB library sybdrvodb64.dll after upgrading ODBC client - SAP ASE for BS

Symptom

  • SAP ERP system failed to start after upgrading ODBC client to 16.0 SP04 PL04:

B   ==> connect info for default DB will be read from ssfs
C  Could not load SYB library sybdrvodb64.dll.  No database connection possible.
C  Load of odbc driver for Sybase ASE failed. Connect terminated.

  • The system works fine with previous ODBC client 16.0 SP03 PL06.
  • The PATH environment variable contains UNC path for the ODBC driver(\\<servername>\sapmnt\ERP\SYS\global\syb\NTAMD64\sybodbc). It is working when using ASE16.0 SP03 PL06 ODBC Driver.
