3381366 - How does a Purchasing Contract expire automatically?


Purchasing Contract status is showing as Expired

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sourcing and Contracting work center.
  2. Go to Contracts view.
  3. Search for the Purchasing Contract XXX.
  4. Expiry status of the Purchasing Contract is Expired. 


A Purchasing Contract Expires in the following cases:

  1. The validity period of the Purchasing Contract is expired.
  2. The open target value of the Purchasing Contract is expired.
  3. The open quantity or value of at least one item in the Purchasing Contract is expired.
  4. The released amount exceeds the target amount of contract.

Above are the scenario's where the system updates the status to closed/expired even if validity end date is in future.
