3382302 - The Dump Error "Please try Resuming Your Work. If You Still Face Issues, Report an Incident." is Displayed When Activating the Org Structure

When attempting to check or activate an organizational structure, the system displays the following error message after a few minutes:

"Please try resuming your work. If you still face issues, report an incident."

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Organizational Management Work Center.
2. Under Common tasks, click on Edit Org Structures.
3. Enter an Effective Date and click on Ok.
4. Select the org unit to be activated.
5. Click on the Check button (alternatively, click on the Activate button).
6. From the drop down list, select Check Selected Structure (alternatively, click on Activate Selected Structure).

After a few minutes, the below dump error message appears:

"Please try resuming your work. If you still face issues, report an incident."

This is a common timeout dump caused by the amount of data being processed.

In order to properly perform the required operation (activation or check), the process can be executed in the background of the system. 

To perform the check or activation action in the background, follow the below steps:

1. Go to Organizational Management Work Center.
2. Under Common tasks, click on Edit Org Structures.
3. Enter an Effective Date and click on Ok.
4. Select the org unit to be activated.
5. Click on the Check button (alternatively, click on the Activate button).
6. From the drop down list, select Check Selected and Dependent Org Units in Background  (alternatively, click on Activate Selected and Dependent Org Units in Background).

This will perform the required actions in a background job which is not subject to UI timeouts. When finished, an e-mail notification should be triggered.
