3382402 - Differences between EC and non-EC template added from SuccessStore - Compensation

Symptom

When adding new compensation plan template from SuccessStore, there are three options: LTI Planning, Salary planning, Salary Planning (EC-integrated).

This article will give details on the differences between Salary planning template and Salary Planning (EC-integrated) template.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to system.
  2. Go to compensation home.
  3. Add New Compensation Plan -> Add a SuccessStore plan template.

Resolution

Differences between SuccessStore pre-built template EC & non-EC templates:

  1. Columns in non-EC templates cannot use EC field mapping. The main data source for non-EC template can only be employee data file (UDF).
  2. Only EC template has the three options in advanced settings:
    1) Do not trigger EC rules when publishing from Compensation to Employee Central.
    2) Enable forward propagation of Compensation Information changes when publishing from Compensation to Employee Central.
    3) Publish Job Information before Compensation Information.
  3. EC eligibility rule uses EC business rules. Non-EC eligibility rule can only use legacy rule based on selected columns in plan.
