3382799 - Rollout Schedule for Personalized Recommendations

Powered by the machine learning technology of SAP AI Business Services, personalized recommendations are generated to users, in one place, on the new Learning home page. This article will provide the rollout schedule.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

To ensure a smooth and seamless activation of this feature, we have planned a staggered release, meaning that this feature will be progressively rolled out after the production upgrade, with priority given to the early adopters that have the feature currently enabled in production. We will provide more details on the staggered release as they become available. Validated tenants (VSaaS) do not yet support Personalized Recommendations.

Note: The early adopter program is no longer active. In order to access personalized recommendations, enable the Integrated Learning Experience (new Learning Home page) available with the 2H 2023 release.

If you would like to enable personalized recommendations on ILX , please reach out to your CSP to assist in contacting the responsible team via the email: sapsf_lrn_recommendations@sap.com. Please make sure to check if the Data Center has not been enabled already.

Follow these steps to enable Personalized Recommendations in the new Integrated Learning Experience in their instance:

1. Enable Personalized Recommendations in the new Learning Home Page: There is a link to a demo with details on the enablement steps on the What’s New Viewer page - Personalized Recommendations Available on the New Learning Home Page.
2. Track the enablement status on the Integrated Settings page for the new experience - Integrated Settings for The New Learning Experience. The processing to generate the recommendations is multi-step and involves aggregating the data running the algorithms and post-processing, and this can take several days to complete.
3. Integration sealing is a prerequisite to enable the new Integrated Learning Experience. Customers can check the integration sealing status for an instance on the Integrated Learning Settings page in Learning Administration, as described in step 2 above. Instructions on sealing an integration are on Platform Integration Request for Sealing by Administrator.
4. Go through Enabling Personalized Recommendations from Admin Center to check other prerequisites that are required before Personalized Recommendations are ready.

DC23 (KSA) and DC30 (China) will not be able to use Personalized Learning Recommendations due to data transfer and technical challenges. This is actively being worked on and further updates will be provided in 2H 2024.

The relevant data from your SAP SuccessFactors Learning tenant is transferred to a recommendations engine tenant in the SAP AI Business Services data center.
