3382807 - Error When Trying to Migrate Fixed Assets via Migration of Accounting Transaction Data

You are facing the error message below when trying to migrate Fixed Assets via Migration of Accounting Transaction Data:

Object FIA_FIXED_ASSET is currently not open for data migration specific changes.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to the Business Configuration and then Overview view.
2. Search for Migration of Accounting Transaction Data and open the Activity.
3. Click Migrate accounting transaction data using the migration tool.
4. Select the Company.
5. Click Execute Migration and then select Fixed Assets line.
6. Click Process File.
7. Errors appears.

The error happens when the migration object is not enabled for migration.

In case of fixed assets, both "Fixed Assets" and "Fixed Assets (extended)" have to be enabled, otherwise the error is raised.
To enable the migration objects, you may proceed as follows:

1. Go to Business Configuration -> Implementation Projects.
2. Open the activity list and open activity "Enable Data Migration per Object"

In this activity, make sure that both "Fixed Assets" and "Fixed Assets (extended)" are enabled.
Once done, the error shall no longer be raised in the migration tool.
