3383228 - Error In Availability Check Of Customer Demand Released With Stock Check

You released a customer demand with stock check. However, when you try to perform Post Goods Issue or confirm the pick task, the system displays no stock available error message. 

Business ByDesign

1. Go to Outbound Logistics work center. 
2. Navigate to the Delivery Proposals view. 
3. Select the relevant delivery proposal and choose the Post Goods Issue button. 
4. While trying to save the Goods Issue, the system displays information that there is no Stock for the relevant product. 

You are not sure why this happened as you had released the customer demand with stock check and the system released it without errors. 

• When the customer demand is released the system does not perform a hard block on the stock that was confirmed for the customer demand.
• If there is an execution document like a make task, requires the stock of the product the system will allocate the stock from inventory to that execution document. 
• There will be a hard block on the stock allocated to a customer demand only when a warehouse request is created against the demand.
• It could so happen that an execution document was allocated the stock was planned for the customer demand. 

• If there is no warehouse request created against the customer demand the system will allocate the free stock to another execution document which requires the stock.
