3384034 - Long text of error message missing in apps like Post General Journal Entries

Symptom

The error message long text is not displayed in apps like Post General Journal Entries because the MESSAGE_TEXT odata is missing.

There are more indicators that the service is missing.

  • an error appears in the console "A request has failed for long text data. URL: /sap/opu/odata/iwbep/message_text/"
  • an error appears in the transaction /N/IWFND/ERROR_LOG "..ERROR_INFO    No service found for namespace '/IWBEP/', name 'MESSAGE_TEXT', version '0001'
