Symptom

When trying to delete a Custom CDS View, error "Custom CDS View XXX is currently in use and therefore cannot be deleted" occurs.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Custom CDS Views app.
  2. Select the Custom CDS View which needs to be deleted.
  3. Click on "Delete" button.
  4. Error message is triggered.

Cause

The Custom CDS View has dependencies that need to be handled before deleting the view.

Resolution

Remove the dependencies of the Custom CDS View before deleting it.
