3384327 - Error: "Could not receive HTTP for : COMM_FAILURE" while downloading SAP Note

Below is the error that occurred during the download of any SAP Note using the HTTP protocol:

<NOTE_NUMBER>  Could not receive HTTP for : COMM_FAILURE

And also, the following error occurred during the Connection Test for the RFC 'SAP-SUPPORT_PORTAL':

SSL handshake with apps.support.sap.com:443 failed: SSSLERR_PEER_CERT_UNTRUSTED (-102)
Peer's X.509 Certificate (chain) is untrusted

SapSSLSessionStartNB()==SSSLERR_PEER_CERT_UNTRUSTED

  SSL:SSL_read() failed  (536872221/0x2000051d)

  =>"Failed to verify peer certificate. Peer not trusted."
