3385420 - Ship to party business partner is automatically filled in the sales order in the Ship to party field even if is not set

Automatic assignment of the "Ship-to Party" in the sales order is incorrect as it defaults to the Sold-to Party when the field is left blank, despite two other Ship-to Parties being assigned, excluding the correct one.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open Create Sales order app - VA01 and type OR, as well as the relevant values for Sal. Org, Distr. Channel and Division.
2. Add Sold to party and then a popup window with the Ship to party appears, no entries are chosen and click ENTER.
3. The partner function Ship to party is automatically filled in the order.
4. Go to the Manage customer master data app and Search for the Business Partner number of the Ship to Party.
5. Open Sales area data within the Customer role (FLCU01) and check the SH Partner function.
6. There is no assignment for partner function Ship to party but it is automatically filled in the order.

• Expected system behaviour.
• If the end user clicks cancel button, this action means ignoring the system proposed determined partners for ship-to party, and within the determination log for ship-to party it can be seen that the value ‘Automatically filled by Sold-to Party (automatic determination was unsuccessful)’, thus the customer number of sold-to party will also be used for ship-to party.
