3385476 - When Perform Goods Movement, Information triggered: Logistics area XYZ not found.

You are performing goods movement, after click Finish, system gives information "Logistics area XYZ not found" but the movement still succeeds.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to work center Internal Logistics.
2. Access view Goods Movement.
3. Maintain Site and Storage Location.
4. Click on Add Row, maintain Product ID, Move Quantity and Source Logistics Area.
5. Click on Next, maintain Target Logistics Area ID.
6. Click Next.
7. Click Finish, information triggered: "Logistics area XYZ not found".

The stock you are moving is externally-owned stock, hence it is not involved into product planning (in Stock Overview, this stock has planning area ID as blank). However, during goods movement, system is searching on the base of planning area ID and logistics area ID. Since this stock has no planning area, system gives information message as Logistics area not found. However, the goods movement will succeed still.
