3385676 - Getting Failed to resolve navigation target Shell-startWDA error in Work Zone

Symptom

  • Remote applications from an S/4 Hana or an ABAP system are integrated in Work Zone;
  • The applications are opening fine from Work Zone Launchpad via tiles;
  • Some action within the application result in the following error: 
    App could not be opened either due to an incorrect SAP Fiori Launchpad Configuration or a missing role assignment.

    Failed to resolve navigation target "Shell-startWDA?...". This is most likely caused by an incorrect SAP Fiori Launchpad content configuration or by a missing role assignment.
