When running task Line item validation in Data Monitor, the error occurs "Message GK854: Posting with identical currencies, but amounts do not agree".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• In the Define Consolidation Units app, for the consolidation unit where the local currency equals the group currency (for example, EUR).
• If the source for the Group Currency key figure is empty, the GC values will remain empty during release.
• This results in the error message "Message GK854: Posting with identical currencies, but amounts do not agree".

1. Confirm that the source for Group Currency key figure is 'H local currency' for the unit in the app Define Consolidation Units.
2. Run the Release Universal journals task again.
