3386389 - Time Off Identical Absence Request Error

We received an error when we trying to create another half day request,

"An identical absence request was already submitted a few seconds ago. As such, this request will be ignored. Please do not try to submit another absence. Instead, please refresh your list of absences and check whether the original absence has been created"

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Management

1. Navigate to Time off Request UI (ESS/ADMIN)
2. Create half day leave
3. Submitted successfully
4. Create another Half day leave for the same day
5. System throws an error,"An identical absence request was already submitted a few seconds ago. As such, this request will be ignored. Please do not try to submit another absence. Instead, please refresh your list of absences and check whether the original absence has been created"

• Working As Designed

• It is an expected behavior.
• The system will throw an error, if we attempt to submit an employee time(Leave Request) within 120 seconds(2 minutes) by simply changing the requested field and making no changes to the following fields,
  • CompanyId,
  • UserId(),
  • TimeType(),
  • ApprovalStatus(),
  • Start Date,
  • End Date.

An identical absence request was already submitted a few seconds ago. As such, this request will be ignored. Please do not try to submit another absence.
