Symptom

Resolution

As of 2H 2023 you can now monitor the delivery of email notifications using Stories in People Analytics. (see community blog: 2H 2023 Fulfill the Gap of SuccessFactors Email Monitor )

For troubleshooting purposes we have integrated this into the system so customers are better able to understand the delivery of their emails for troubleshooting purposes. 

What's changed?

You can now see the delivery data/status of emails sent across SuccessFactors by using charts, text, images, pictograms and different visualizations on the below objects: 

  • Email Notification: contains the data of generating email notifications in SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Email Notification Recipient Details: contains the delivery information of each email notification on the recipient side.
  • Email Notification Processing Details: contains the processing data of email notifications within SAP internal servers.

IMPORTANT: You must have People Analytics enabled to be able to utilize this feature. 

NOTE: You can only create reports on data for the previous 15 days.

Once you have People Analytics enabled you will need to have the following role-based permissions enabled to view these features: 

  • User Permissions ---> Miscellaneous Permissions 
    • Email Notification
    • Email Notification Processing Details
    • Email Notification.statusList (Email Notification Recipient Details)
  • User Permissions ---> Reports Permission ---> Create Story ---> Email Notifications. 

Once the above have been enabled, you can now visualize the delivery details of your email notifications to able to effectively troubleshoot any email issues you may be facing.

This functionality is part of both SuccessFactors Platform PLT module and SuccessFactors Analytics ANA module. If the basic option is not showing or if any RBP permission is not working properly/missing please raise a support case under component LOD-SF-PLT-RBP as it is under Platform PLT support team scope. If you are having some issues with creating the story reports then please raise a support case under SuccessFactors Analytics ANA support team component LOD-SF-ANA-SAC.
