Symptom
Not able to add Additional Fields into main screen in the Business Partner overview workcenter.

SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Business Partner Data WorkCenter view.
- Navigate to New Business Partner Organization in the Common Tasks section.
- Navigate to Avatar icon and choose key user settings and start adaptation mode.
- In the Screen Layout section choose Main Address.
None of the Additional Fields are available in the Fields section, you can only see the standard fields which are displayed in the Main Address.
Cause
This is expected system behaviour.
The additional fields of the Main Address are only visible if they are filled. The position of these fields are dependent on the country which has been selected in the Main Address Country field since different countries have different address requirements.
Resolution
If the you would like to move the additional fields section to the Main Address section this can be done as follows:
- Go to the Business Partner Data WorkCenter view.
- Navigate to New Business Partner Organization in the Common Tasks section.
- Enter the country in the Country field of the Main Address.
- Select the Additional Fields hyperlink.
- Enter a value in the field you would like to add e. g. Address Line 1 and press OK.
This field will now automatically appear in the Main Address section. - Navigate to Avatar icon and choose key user settings and start adaptation mode.
- In the Screen Layout section select Main Address and the selected field Address Line 1 is now available in the Fields section.
- You will need to repeat above steps every time whenever you would like to move the position of the additional field to main Address.
