3388228 - 'Workflow Pending' in 'Verify General Journal Entries - For Requester' App

A journal entry is stuck with status 'Workflow Pending' in the 'Verify General Journal Entries - For Requester' app (ID F2547) and it's not possible to approve, reject or withdraw same.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Open 'Verify General Journal Entries - For Requester'.
2. Filter by Status 'Workflow Pending (N)'.
3. See affected journal entries.

The conditions of the journal entry don't match the Start Conditions of any active workflow maintained in the 'Manage Workflows for Journal Entry Verification - In General Ledger' app (ID F2720).

For example:

• There is only 1 active workflow in the system and the Start Conditions are defined as 'Company Code is 1000' and 'Threshold Amount is 100 Euro'. 
• A journal entry is posted to Company Code 1000 but the amount is only 50 Euro.
• The conditions of this journal entry do not match the Start Conditions of any active workflow, so no workflow is triggered and the journal entry is stuck with status 'Workflow Pending'.

Edit the existing workflow so that the Start Conditions are triggered by all journal entries.

For example:

• The Start Conditions of the workflow can be blank, but the Step Conditions of the Verify step can be 'Company Code is 1000' and 'Threshold Amount is 100 Euro'.
• This means that postings of 100 Euro or more to Company Code 1000 require verification, while all other journal entries are automatically posted.
