3388360 - Profit Center substitution failure with product hierarchy precondition

Symptom

Profit Center substitution failing for sales document with ProductHierarchyNode in Precondition of rule. 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In App Manage Substitution/Validation Rules (App ID F4406) substitution created using Business Context Profit Center Derivation in Sales Documents.
  2. ProductHierarchyNode field used in Precondition of rule. 

Cause

  • The Product hierarchy node field in the profit center substitution rule refers to classic product hierarchy which is not available in cloud. 
  • The new product hierarchy is not supported with Profit Center determination in the cloud. The new product hierarchy does not use field PRODH but PRODH_UNIV* which are not part of Profit center substitution. 

 

Resolution

  • Functionality not supported in current design.
