3389134 - Performance form is automatically re-routed to next step after routing back to the previous step - Performance Management

Symptom

Form is auto routed to next step again after routing it back to previous step with past step due date.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

Reproducing the Issue

1. Enable the 'Automatic Send on Due Date' in route map and configure the related daily job "Auto Route Based on Due Date" in provisioning
2. Launch a form
3. Due date is passed for the step and the form is auto-routed to the next step
4. Route the form back to the previous step manually
5. Notice that the form is re-routed to the next step the next day

Cause

This is current system behavior.

In normal cases, it is always a one-time event because once the document is routed out of an overdue step, the document shouldn't be in an overdue state any more.
However, in this case, the document was manually routed back to a step that has a past Due Date. Then the user will have only less than 24 hours to do what they need to accomplish with that document in that overdue step, before the form is routed by the next "Auto Route Based on Due Date" job (PLT-3775).

Resolution

Please use the tool "modify form route map" to disable the "Automatic Send on Due Date" feature for forms if you want the form to stay in the previous step, or change the due date to a future date so that users have enough time to complete the form in the step.
