HTTP Code 503  ( Service Unavailable ) in Web Service Message Monitoring.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. You are calling an outbound web service from C4C to external systems, for example, request external pricing;

2. Go to Web Service Message Monitoring;

3. You see HTTP Code 503  ( Service Unavailable ) for the web service called.

Error code 503 means that there is server error. C4C is acting as a client sending the request to target host with target path, which responded with 503 error.

Need to check from the target host side (for example, CPI), to check the target path and relevant logs to know why the server returned http code 503 (unavailable).

If CPI is using as middleware, especially remember to compare for the service URL path maintained in C4C communication arrangement and the endpoint of the iFlow in CPI, so that to ensure the path match with the endpoint.
