3390757 - Performance Forms Launch to an Alternate Route User Step (U Step)

• When a performance form is scheduled to launch at a later date, the form launches to an Alternate Route User Step (U Step).
• After an instance refresh, forms launch directly to an Alternate Route User Step (U Step) for the originator instead of to the correct role in the route map.

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

1. Configure a route map with only one step and Originator as the step owner
2. Launch a form with the form template associated to the described Route Map by launch form tool or Manage schedule reviews.
3. In the Launch Form tool, choose One-Time > Later
4. Search and add the target subject
5. Wait for the form creation
6. Check the form route map in the Route Form tool > The alternate route U Step is added

OR

1. Process a system refresh
2. In the Launch Form tool, launch a form OR launch a form from the Inbox
3. Search for and add the target subject
4. Wait for the form creation
5. Check the form route map in the Route Form tool > The Alternate Route User Step (U Step) is added and the form is assigned to whomever launched the form

• The route map has one step for an O (Originator) role
• Users do not have the User Login permission

The route map has one step for an O (Originator) role

This is expected behavior as the system is not designed to launch a form with one route map step assigned to the O (Originator) role.

Workarounds:

• Add additional steps to the route map by following Implementing and Managing Performance Management - Creating a Route Map
• Populate a different role for the first step. Available roles are in Implementing and Managing Performance Management - Roles
• Change the form's route map by using Modify Form Route Map. Steps are in Implementing and Managing Performance Management - Modifying Route Maps.

Users do not have the User Login permission

When the User Login permission is missing, the system considers the user as invalid and will skip them in the form route map.
