Symptom
User is trying to post write-up to fixed assets, and the simulated journal entry is posted to G/L account: AAA instead of the expected G/L account: BBB.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Fixed Assets work center.
- Go to Fixed Assets view.
- Select fixed asset XYZ (XYZ stands for fixed asset ID) and select manual posting - write-up.
- Select simulate the journal entry, and you will see the posted G/L account is AAA instead of BBB.
Cause
The required G/L accounts when posting write-up must belong to the following account types, and G/L account: BBB does not belong to the following G/L account type. The G/L account: AAA belongs to the following account type.
