3390974 - Your requirement is to derive date from date-time fields while creating story in SAC

Deriving date related data from the field which shows date and time in it.

You notice that there are certain fields with Date-Time stamp in it.
The requirement is to show only Date specific data from it and exclude time from it

These are standard data source which are used in creating story and hence customization in the calculated column is required.

Follow below steps to create a custom calculated column and use the same in your story :-

1). Choose the Data Source
2). Click on the "Create Calculated Column" icon

3). In the calculated column section, click on the "Add" icon

4). Scroll down to find the "TODATE()" formulae and drag it into the box

5). Start typing between the brackets with a "#" and starting letters of the "Datetime field" to see the list.

6). On selecting a Datetime field from the analytical model, the formula will show up like this.

Click on OK button to Save the calculated field
7). The new field  will now be available in the Column Overview popup.

Click on the OK button and continue with creating/editing the Story in Query Builder
8). The calculated Date field will be available in the list of dimensions on the Story UI and can be
included in tables/charts as like other dimensions

9). Date field derived from Datetime field is seen in the table.
Filters and other functionality for dates provided by SAC also works
