3391597 - Candidate Self Schedule email is not sending to candidates - Recruiting Management

When single sender is enabled and an interview is being scheduled, candidates are not receiving the email that gets sent to them to ask them to confirm their availability (the "Candidate Self-Schedules Interview" email trigger).

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Most company's security policy only allows SuccessFactors to send “on behalf” emails when the emails come a certain domain (e.g. "xyz.<company>.com") which is commonly configured as a part of their Single Sender configuration. However, the "Candidate Self-Schedules Interview" email trigger sent by an individual recruiter and not the single sender address. This email trigger will use the top-domain <company>.com (e.g. john.doe@<company>.com). The customers email security policy does NOT allow SF to send “on behalf” emails for this domain. Because of the security policy, email providers (such as gmail) will mark the email as spam and block it from being sent to the candidate.

In most scenarios recruiters will already know the availability of the candidate. In such cases the "Candidate Self-Schedules Interview" email can be skipped and the interview can be booked for candidates without needing to ask them for their availability. This can be done by checking the box "Book this slot for candidate" just before sending the email to candidates. With the box checked, if "Skip email" is selected the "Candidate Self-Schedules Interview" is skipped and instead the interview Confirmation emails are sent which use the single sender address.

This workaround is applicable in Interview Scheduling with or without MS Teams and/or Outlook Integration enabled. Please note this workaround will only work if there is only 1 time slot selected for 1 or more candidates. If there are multiple time slots selected for 1 or more candidates this option will not appear.
