3392356 - RFC destination SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF is no longer needed when generating the print version from a WD ABAP ALV through ABAP-based print service

Symptom

It is desired to use Print Version or Export functionalities through WD ABAP ALV, but the RFC destination SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF configuration is required and the Application Server Java is either unavailable or doesn't have all prerequisites.

The following error can also occur when printing from a Java-based print service:

Error Print version Communication Failure RFC destination.

"Print version Communication Failure: RFC destination SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF does not exist.

Message no. SALV_WD_MSG701

Diagnosis:

An error occurred in creating the print version.

Procedure:

Contact your SAP administrator.
