3392663 - Error: "Parallel processing is not active" in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Performance Analysis Report for Charts shows that Parallel processing is not active in SAC, although:
  • All backend and frontend config is done to enable Parallel Processing, see help guides: Live Data Connections to SAP BW and SAP BW/4HANA, Configure System Settings
  • In Network trace there are parallel sessions recorded.
• Optimized Design Experience (ODE)/Unified story feature issue (same feature not available in classic story design).

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2023.16.10

1. Create an ODE/Unified story based on a live model to BW.
2. Insert a Bar/Column chart.
3. Select the chart and go to: More Options - Applied to Chart - Warnings & Errors - Performance analysis may be available for this widget - Show Performance Analysis
4. View the Performance Analysis Report and the listed High Impact issues: "Parallel Processing is not active".

• While using the performance Analysis dialog within SAC a red sign is shown saying that parallel processing is not active. The calculation for this is wrong and fixed with the below SAP note.
• There was an issue with the implementation and the information exposed to SAC from BW was wrong. If it’s being shown as “not activated” in SAC is actually activated in BW.
