Symptom

Table /SCMTMS/D_MSGREG is growing in your TM system and to manage the data you want to schedule the /SCMTMS/APPLOG_MASSSTORE housekeeping report to control its size by removing unrequired data entries. However, when scheduling this job to run in the background you note that it will always fail, and a dump occurs with the following information:

  • Category - ABAP programming error
  • Runtime Errors - ASSERTION_FAILED
  • ABAP Program - /SCMTMS/APPLOG_MASSSTORE
  • The ASSERT condition was violated.
