Symptom
The user was recently assigned a curriculum with a requirement to complete items from a specific item pool. However, when they access the requirement for the first time, the system shows that one or more items are already completed.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Access Learning as a user >
- Go to the recently assigned curriculum requirement >
- Check that there's one or more items already set as complete, although the curriculum was just assigned.
Cause
The user has completed the item(s) as a free-floating prior to the curriculum requirement assignment.
Resolution
If the user completed the item before it got inserted in the curriculum requirement items' pool, then the system considers that completion towards the requirement completion.
For example:
- User 1 completes the items A and B >
- Later, a Learning Administrator creates a curriculum requirement in which the users have to complete 3 items out of 4 >
- The Learning Administrator then ads the items A,B,C and D >
- After linking them to a curriculum and assigning that curriculum to User 1, the system will consider that the User 1 already completed 2 items (A and B) out of the 3 necessary to complete that requirement.
This is the expected behavior.
