3392889 - Can MS Visual C++ 2012/2013 redistributable packages be removed after installing SAP IQ 16.1 Server/Network Client on Windows O/S ?

Symptom

According to Microsoft, MS Visual C++ 2012 redistributable is no longer supported and MS Visual C++ 2013 redistributable will also be no longer supported from Apr 9, 2024.

--ended support date for old MS Visual C++ 2012 redistributable packages

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (ended support on Jul 14, 2020)
  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (ended support on Jan 10, 2023)
  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (ended support on Apr 9, 2024)

When SAP IQ 16.1 Server/Network Client is installed on Windows O/S, Microsoft Visual C++ 2012/2013 Redistributables will be installed together by SAP IQ Server/Network Client installer and this step cannot be skipped.
Can MS Visual C++ 2012/2013 redistributable packages be removed after installing SAP IQ 16.1 Server/Network Client on Windows O/S successfully ?
