3393356 - The SAC add-in will use the design and view permissions defined in SAP Analytics Cloud

The warning message is displayed in the logon dialog of SAC add-in for Microsoft Office:

"As of version 2023.25 (planned for mid-November), the add-in will differentiate between users with design and view permissions. Your user roles must have the appropriate permissions applied in your SAP Analytics Cloud until then."

The message is related to a change in the product, described in the What's New document available here.

Refer to the blog post Designer / viewer rights in SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office, which is also mentioned in the logon dialog, and set the corresponding rights in "Add-in Workbook" privilege.

OBS: This is also applicable for one-tenant Datasphere set-up, which in this case uses an embedded SAC tenant used in the SAC Add-in.
