3393406 - Internal hire is not able to view some portlets in Personal Data Collection Step - Onboarding

Symptom

Internal hire (Crossboarding) is not able to view some portlets (i.e Emergency Contact, National ID, Payment Details), in their Personal Data Collection Step, even though these portlets are maintaining data in Employee Central Profile.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login system
  2. Proxy as Internal Hire
  3. Click on tile Provide your details to get onboarded
  4. Click on start
Result: some portlets are not visible
  5. Click on My Employee Profile from Admin centre
Result: these same portlets are visible and holding data.

Cause

Expected behavior. Internal hire flow is always validated against Employee Data Model for Job Information and Employment Information, and against Succession Data Model for Compensation Information, unlike Onboarding flow, which is validated against the Succession Data Model.

Resolution

There are some portlets which are not visible even with permissions granted, as they are not supported. This is expected behavior of the system at the moment. These portlets are visible only to New hire process.

For the Internal Hire process to work, only the following six entities are validated and mapped during Recruit-to-Hire data mapping:

  • Job Information
  • Compensation Information
  • Pay Component Non-Recurring
  • Pay Component Recurring
  • Job Relations Information
  • Employment Information

Obs: Regardless if Internal Hire is initiated from Recruiting or from Employee Central, behavior is the same.
