Symptom
- Font color is not being saved in Templates.
- The issue only occurs with an Optimized Design Story.
- Other textbox styling attributes (border and background) are successfully saved in templates.
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud 2023.21
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a Optimized Story
- Add a textbox with some arbitrary text.
- Change the font colour to an arbitrary color, let us pick red.
- Save the story as a Template.
- Open the template
- Notice the font color is black and or the default colour.
Cause
- This situation occurs, when the font was previously used in the Story, but no longer exists in the system or has been deleted.
Resolution
-
To prevent this from happening, use one of the following options:
-
Ensure to not use the copy/paste from other document (like word) directly into the Story field's text.
Instead, simply use the "Fonts" that already exist in the "Designer --> styling tab" of the Story. -
