3393728 - SAC Comment widget formatting issue in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

The formatting of comment widget has the following issue in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

• Perform CSS formatting (size and font) for text copied and pasted from external editor e.g. MS Word.
• The text area cannot be expanded (only allow to see 3 lines at a time and you can scroll up and down).

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2023.16.10 

1. Open the story, then add a comment widget.

2. Open the CSS editor and add some CSS formatting to the comment widget
   

   e.g.

   • .my-comment-widget .sap-custom-comment-widget-content {
         font-size: 20px;
         font-family: calibri, Calibri;
     }
3. Add comments:
   1. In the comment widget, select add comment.
   2. Type your comment details.
   3. Select Send Comment.
      ====> Notice that the CSS formatting is applied.

4. Copy and paste the comment from MS Word
         e.g.

   • Font size: 20
   • Font: Arial
     ====> Notice the CSS font and size is not applied.

This behaviour is by design. SAC doesn't support Copy Paste from external editors fully for Comment Widget.

It's always suggested to use inbuilt Comment Widget RTF feature for formatting.
